LAF3201 French 3 [2220]
This is a thirteen-week 100% C.A. course, pegged at the A2 level of the CECRL Framework, which builds upon the foundation of LAF2201 French 2. We will be focussing on developing your ability to communicate on fairly complex topics of general interests, such as celebrations, encounters, social networking and personal histories. Through an integrated and holistic approach to language learning, you will increase their competency in all the major language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and culture), as well as your overall competence as a life-long language learner. By the end of the course, you will be able to demonstrate proficiency in handling language on topic of immediate relevance, and in exchanging information on personal background, familiar environments or routine matters, In addition, you will learn to adopt and practice strategies for language expression, using techniques like brainstorming and organisation of ideas, or the collecting of meaning-related lexical items and linguistic expressions prior to any writing or speaking tasks.
