Within the frameworks of cognitive and typological linguistics, this module focuses on the similarities and differences between the semantics and syntax of Chinese-English. We will cover ten major features of these two languages, including topic/subject, word formation, grammatical devices and constructions. It is designed to deepen the understanding of these two languages and improve skills in using these two languages.
