Please note that an important change is that modules in LumiNUS are now courses in Canvas.
The modules which Canvas refers to are topics within courses.

The following table details where some of the more common LumiNUS features are in Canvas.

LumiNUS Feature	Canvas Equivalent	Explanation
Dashboard	Dashboard	The Dashboard in Canvas still lets you see what is due. Changing the Canvas dashboard to show recent activity will let you view course notifications, similar to LumiNUS module announcements.
My Modules	Courses --> All courses	To see the equivalent of LumiNUS 'My Modules' in Canvas, click on 'Courses' in the global navigation menu and then click on 'All courses'.
Module Overview and Module Details	Home, Syllabus, and Modules	Canvas 'Home' and 'Syllabus' sections within a course lets you see the overview of a course as well as other details like weightage of assignments, description, learning outcomes, etc. The 'Modules' section lets you see the breakdown of content, similar to the weekly breakdown in LumiNUS 'Module Overview'.
Class & Groups	People	Canvas 'People' section has slightly more functionality in that you can create, join, and leave groups within a course (should it be enabled by the instructor).
Task Report	Assignments	Sorting assignments by date and looking at the information under each assignment item gives you the equivalent of LumiNUS 'Task Report'.
Announcements	Announcements	Canvas 'Announcements' section also allows for searching and filtering.
Chat Room	Chat	Canvas 'Chat' section does not make use of any external third-party application.
Conferencing	Zoom	-
Consultation	Calendar --> Create event	You will need to go to Calendar in the global navigation menu, click on the button to create an event and then select the appropriate course tab.
Files	Files	-
Forum	Discussions	Canvas 'Discussions' section also shows the number of unread messages.
Multimedia, Web Lectures, and SCORM	Videos (Panopto)	-
Poll, Quiz, and Survey	Assignments, Quizzes	Canvas 'Assignments' and 'Quizzes' sections will lead you to the appropriate poll/quiz/survey that you need to complete.
Gradebook	Grades	Canvas 'Grades' section also allows you to see your actual total score as well as compute a what-if score.
edX Modules	DYOM	To see the equivalent of edX modules in Canvas, click on 'DYOM' in the global navigation menu.
